Good morning year 4! We have made it to the end of a half term. Please make sure you have a good week off and relax. There will be no work to complete over half term or on Monday 22nd February (inset day). 

 

Morning Activity

 

To start the day off, spend 10 minutes completing arithmetic pg 47 remembering to show your working out. After 10 minutes, use the answers to mark.

Today's first job is to go back to the work you completed on Thursday and use the answers below to mark. Please complete any corrections for the ones you may have got wrong.

 

Main lesson

 

Today, we will be looking at fractions greater than 1.

 

First, write the short date 12.02.21 and the title Fractions greater than 1.  Use your ruler to underline both.

 

Next, have a look at the criteria below and complete your recap and anchor task. Use the answers below to see how you have done.

Main Activities

If you are in Miss Groves' or Miss Cameron's group, complete the red/Orange task and if you feel confident with that then complete the green task.

If you would like to challenge yourself further then have ago at the purple task.

 

If you are in Mrs Bennett's group, complete the green task and then complete the purple task. If you are unsure then go back and complete the red/Orange task.

Literacy

 

For literacy today, we are going carry out a comprehension.

 

First, write the long date Friday 12th February 2021 and the title Comprehension. Use a ruler to underline both.

 

As a starter for this lesson, we would like you to complete another quiz on this week's learning. You need to complete all 10 questions and again you will be asked to put your name in, so that we can see who has participated in the quiz.
