Today we will be looking at some reasoning questions to do with multiplying by 2 digit numbers.
Pick one of the sheets (2 x 2, 3 x 2 or 4 x) to have a go at. You can try more than one sheet, but you do not have to.
The methods are the ones we have practised over the last 2 weeks.
Today is handwriting!
Choose one of the activities on the following document to use as your warm-up - it will warm your hands up ready for working! You could have a little break part way through your work to do another of these, if you need to rest your hands for a bit.
Make sure you are sitting properly ready for handwriting - sit comfortably, but somewhere that you are upright and not slouching. Use a sharp pencil for this and concentrate on making sure your letters are the correct height and spacing.
Have a look at the Success Criteria so you know what to concentrate on as you write. Write the date, then stick this into your book.
Write out the poem exactly as it is here, setting it out the same as on the sheet. If you'd like to use the lines as a guide, print out your preferred sheet to write on, then stick it in your book afterwards. If not, write straight into your book.
Today we will be experimenting in the style of Wang Mian. First, read through the PDF which takes you through trying different ways of recreating the same picture. Obviously you will have to use what you have access to, so don't worry if it does not match the examples.
Pick two or more of Wang Mian's pictures which you looked at last week and have a go at doing your own version using different media or different styles. This could be in felt tip, colouring pencil, crayon, paint - it's up to you! There are examples below.
