In the Summer 2 term, we will be learning about trade and Fairtrade.
Have a go at the activities below.
On most worksheets you can choose the level of difficulty - definitely have a go at the 2 and 3 star activities. (If you are finding it too easy, move up a star; if you're finding it too difficult move down a star.)
We will also learn about some of the countries in South America.
Start by labelling the countries and their capital cities on this map of the whole continents of North and South America. How many of these countries have you been to? Or members of your family/friends? What can they tell you about these countries?
Compare a country in South America with England. You will need to research the human geography and physical geography of each country.
Human Geography:
- Population
- Settlements (places where people live)
- Economy (what is sold and bought, money)
- Travel
Physical Geography:
- Landscape (mountains, hills, coast, forest, rainforest)
- Weather
- Place in the world (which hemisphere, near the equator etc)
Set your comparison up like this:
Our Geography will be taught in the Summer term. Some of the things we will look at are listed below.
Use the suggested links to research a little bit about each of them. Take notes and we will use these when we look at each one of these in the summer.
