Eskdale PTFA Committee

Susan Smith- Chair

Eskdale Junior School is close to my heart as I’ve been involved with the School since 1977. I have a wealth of experience with the school as many of the children I fostered and adopted attended here, as well as my own children. I was a Governor at the school for 18 years, and have continued to support the school since with the PTFA, listening to children read in school and helping on school trips.

Desney Owen - Treasurer

My daughter started Eskdale junior school in September 2022 and I became a Midday supervisor after the Easter half term in 2023. I got involved with the PTFA shortly afterwards and was happy to take over the role of Treasurer when asked. I look forward to continuing to be part of the PTFA, running fun events and raising lots of money to spend on all of our children in school.

Alison Heath - Secretary

I have been an Eskdale Parent since September 2018, with 2 children still attending the school. I have enjoyed volunteering at Eskdale and stated work as a Midday Supervisor in April 2023. Before I knew it, I was committed to helping the PTFA with the Summer Fair and here I am looking forward to working with you all to arrange many more fun activities.

Who are we and what do we do?

The Eskdale PTFA is a group of Parents, Teachers and Friends of Eskdale School who work together to organise a range of social and fundraising events throughout the year, not only for the children but their family and friends too.

These events are crucial to the school in order to raise money for those extra events and equipment that benefit the development of the school community, which the school would not ordinarily be able to afford. Not to mention the opportunities these social events bring for friends and family to come together as part of the Eskdale community.

These events would not be successful without the help of you as parents; whether that is assisting with the planning and running of these events, making donations and/or attending them. All of it makes the difference!

We hope that we will continue to grow as a group, it is a great way to make new friends whilst supporting the school.
