Thursday 21st January

Good morning Year 3! We hope you have a great day and aim high! smiley

To start with,  please complete the next 'quick read' task below. This is meant to be a quick read so try and spend no more than 2 minutes reading the text then spend around 5 minutes answering the questions. Remember you can underline anything you need in the text to help you answer (answers will be on tomorrow).

Start by marking the arithmetic that you did yesterday.

Today, we are multiplying 2 digit numbers by 1 digit numbers using a written formal method (column multiplication). This is similar to when we did column addition and subtraction so you should be familiar with the layout, just remember to multiply!

Go through the slides below and watch the video when prompted.

Start today's lesson by completing the next sheet for either your word detectives or spelling work. If anyone is still unsure about this then please contact school or email year 3.

Today you will be learning how to use inverted commas correctly, so you will be able to use them correctly in your own writing of Stone Soup... and any other writing for that mattersmiley

Have a look at the success criteria and recap task first, then watch the PowerPoint and complete the activities.

Start your afternoon by spending 10 minutes reading and 10 minutes on TTRS- I can see that some of you haven't been on TTRS yet this week so please make sure you do some before the weekend, it will help with your maths lessonssmiley
