Good morning year 4! Hope you are ready for another fun filled day of learning.

 

Morning Activity

 

To start the day off, spend 10 minutes completing arithmetic pg 44. Remember to show your working out. After 10 minutes, use the answers below to mark and correct any you have got wrong.

Answers for Monday 8th

 

Today's first job is to go back to the work you completed on Monday and use the answers below to mark. Please complete any corrections for the ones that you have got wrong.

Main lesson

 

Today, we will be looking at equivalent fractions again. The lesson you completed on Monday and today's lesson are both recapping learning from year 3.

 

First, write the short date 09.02.21 and the title Equivalent fractions. Use you ruler to underline both.

 

Next, have a look at the criteria below and complete your recap and anchor task. Use the answers below to see how you have done.

 

 

Then, watch this video which will explain equivalent fractions more.

Main Activities

If you are in Miss Groves' or Miss Cameron's group, please complete the orange task and if you feel confident with that then complete the green task.

If you would like to challenge yourself further then have ago at the purple task.

 

If you are in Mrs Bennett's group, complete the green task and then move onto the purple task. If you are unsure then you may need to go back and complete the orange task first.

Literacy

 

For literacy today, we will be going on a sound walk to collect sounds for your new poem. Please make sure you are keeping to the covid rules. If you are unable to go on a walk, then please just go and stand in your garden, open a window or go and stand on the street.

 

First, write the long date Tuesday 9th February 2021 and then the title Sound walk.

 

Next, have a look at the criteria below and complete your recap.

Design Technology

 

Today we are testing and evaluating our aqueducts. The success criteria for this lesson is at the top of the evaluation sheet below.

 

Gently pour some water down your aqueduct. Does it flow through as planned? Did you design work as you had planned it or did you need to make some changes?
