# Wed 3rd March

Good morning year 4! We are half way through the week already.

## Morning Activity

To start the day off, spend 10 minutes completing arithmetic pg 54. After 10 minutes, use the answers to mark and correct any you have got wrong.

## Literacy

### Main Lesson

Today, we are going to be looking at speech and how to make sure this is punctuated correctly.

First, write the long date Wednesday 03rd March 2021 and the title Punctuating speech. Use your ruler to underline both.

Next, have a look at the criteria below and complete your recap.

Then, read through the punctuating speech powerpoint below. This will help you to understand the rules of what is required when you are punctuating speech.
Finally, look at the following powerpoint. This includes detail on the activities that you need to complete and below the powerpoint are the sheets and support sheets that go with these activities.

## Music

Hi Year 4!

I hope you all had a good half term break and are looking forward to being back next week – we’re really looking forward to seeing you

Today’s music lesson is a one off link to 2 different videos as I’m keen for us all to start our new topic altogether next week in music. So, you will be doing a bit of singing and some ‘cup rhythms’ today – you need a plastic cup or beaker (maybe a picnic one?!) for that bit, which hopefully you can find at home somewhere. Have fun and I’ll see you next week to hear how you got on!
