Good morning year 4! Here is another fun filled day of home learning for you all.

Today in music, Ms Howes is going to do a music lesson with you over teams. You should have received a Marvellous Me yesterday with a link on. This lesson will start at 9.30 am, so plese make sure you are logged on and set up for then if you can.
Today, we will be moving on a grid.
First, write the date 14.07.21 and the title Moving on a grid. Use a ruler to underline both.
Next, have a look at the slides for the success criteria and complete your recap.
Finally, work your way through the slides (there are the ones that we normally use in our maths lessons, so you should be confident with the layout). Remember to take in the teaching points that are given to you. We have also added the whiterose video for extra guidance if you need to watch this.
Once you are happy and have looked over the slides, you then need to complete the whiterose sheets below. If you would like to challenge yourself further, then have ago at the challenge sheets after.
Once you have completed your sheets, use the answers below to mark them and correct any that you may have got wrong.
Today, we are starting to get ourselves ready for our write next week.
First, write the long date Wednesday 14th July 2021 and the title Ideas I can magpie. Use a ruler to underline both.
Next, have a look at the S/C below and complete your recap.
We are going to re-cap over all the different texts that we have looked out over the past week and a bit and give you an opportunity to think about what you liked/disliked about them.
First, re-read the different texts below.
Next, we would like you to think about which extracts you liked the best and why. You can write these down, but remember you must say why you liked them the best.
Finally, we would like you to fill in a magpie activity sheet (you do not need to print this it can just be written into your books). You will need to jot down any words/phrases, language features and sentences that you may want to magpie from any of these texts and use in your own next week. Once returning to school next week, we will talk about how we can use these in our writing more.
Use the last 15 minutes of the day to read your school reading book. Remember to evidence this in your diary.
