Good morning year 3, happy Wednesday!
Please start your morning with the next page of your arithmetic booklet. Then spend 10 minutes reading a favourite book.
Please start your maths lesson by spending 10 minutes on TTRS and then start by marking your work from yesterday.
Today you are going to be recapping some of the things you learnt in the Autumn term in order to prepare for your return to school next week. Go through the slides and have a go at the different activities.
Begin with your word detectives or spelling activity.
Today we will be looking in a little more detail at rhetorical questions as a device for persuasive writing. Below is a link to a video to help deepen your understanding of this technique. As always, look at the WALT and success criteria and complete the recap task.
Begin this afternoon with 10 more minutes reading.
So for this part of the lesson today you will need a dice. If you don't have one then write the numbers 1-6 on pieces of paper then shuffle them up and then take a card of the top to generate your first number. You don't need to work with a partner but if you want to gently encourage a brother or sister, or maybe mum or dad then this might be more fun.
Work through both of the activity sheets below. You might be asked when we get back to demonstrate what you've been doing. WE will be showing you our moves too!
