Morning work

Maths

Today we are looking at arrays (pictures to help understand times tables). Watch the video, then have a go at the anchor task. If you find the anchor task tricky, watch the video again. When you have done the anchor task have a go at the worksheet.

## InkedAut3.9.3 - Using arrays_Trim.mp4

After your maths lesson, log onto Times Table Rockstars and practice your times tables.

Literacy Lesson

Yesterday you listened to the Stone Soup story and answered comprehension questions. Using this knowledge, have a go at the activities below. Have fun!

Make sure you spend some time reading today. Remember you can read lots of different things; your school book, a book from home, a newspaper, a recipe book or listen to an Ebook!

Are there any reading challenges you want to have a go at?

Afternoon

This afternoon we will be doing some more geography.

Have a look at this powerpoint about compasses.

Now use what you have learnt about compasses to complete this worksheet.  Take care! For the first 5 questions you need to continue from the square you have ended up on, don't go back to the start each time.

Now let's have a look at the next part of the lesson about map symbols.

## Understanding map symbols with Steve Backshall and Ordnance Survey

Steve Backshall explaining how map symbols can help understand a map .

Now have a go at this worksheet. See how many you already know!

Finally, have a go at creating your own map symbols for different places in school!
