Good morning! How are you?
Please spend 10 minute reading this morning, then mark your arithmetic from yesterday.
Now, have a go at the next arithmetic page.
Today, we will be practising our skill of summarising. Using the text we read yesterday, 'A River' by Marc Martin we would like you to have a go at summarising the text into 5 key, concise points. On the sheet below, there are 5 boxes under the picture of a river, use these to write your summary. In the boxes above the river you can draw a quick sketch to visualise each key part.
To start with, please mark the work from yesterday.
Today, we are continuing to look at 100's 10's and 1's. Look through the slides or the video then have a go at the worksheet.
Please spend 10 minutes on TTRS to start with.
This afternoon in music we are introducing our new song for the half term - 'Lean On Me' by Bill Withers.
Before we look at that though, can you warm your musical brain up by thinking of as many of the musical elements as you can? And what they mean...here's a couple to start you off - 'Pulse'....and 'Tempo'...
Once you've done that, click below to watch Bill Withers sing this famous song.
Then use your Charanga login to go to 'Assignments' on your class page and click on Lean On Me, Lesson 1. (If you've lost/forgotten your login, click on the microsoft word doc below)
Have another listen to the song on there and click on some of the tabs at the bottom to find out more about the song and answer some of the 'listening and appraisal' questions that we normally think about.
Then have a go at a few of the other musical games/activities if you like and finish by trying to learn V1 ready for next week's lesson.
