On page 9, using their chinalator children should read and scoop the words in each set (children should be aware of what this is). Make sure to scoop a variety of words from each set to practice this skill. You will find an explanation of the terms ‘chinalator’ and ‘scooping’ in the phonic terminology at the front of the booklet. Please spend around 15 minutes on this activity.
